ABOUT Us

My name is Chelsea McKamey. By trade, I am a professional dog trainer and specifically am an Aggressive Behavior Specialist. I provide my community with various services to keep both people and animals safe from dogs with dangerous behavior issues. I work with local counties' animal control units, various dog rescues, veterinary clinics, dog groomers, attorneys, HOA representatives, and most importantly, pet dog owners. When I'm not working to help dogs overcome their fears and aggressive outbursts, I'm competing with my personal dogs. We live on 13 acres in Douglasville, GA and enjoy running full speed through the woods with the ATV, going to dog shows, and participating in bite club.

In my hunt for my next demonstration dog, I discovered the Belgian Laekenois and set my heart on helping the Laeken community in their campaign for full AKC recognition and breed preservation. When I acquired my first Laekenois from Coswald in GA, I fell in love immediately and found what a hidden gem this breed is. They were handler focused, quick to condition new behaviors, humorous, and happy to participate in any activity we could agree on. My primary focus is to produce consistently stable temperaments so new Laeken owners can enjoy activities with their dog in any social situation.

Shortly after, BrindleWolf in France announced her final litter of longhaired Dutch Shepherd puppies. As I'd been following this breeder for years on social media, I didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to experience her gorgeous and talented dogs. We became very good friends in the process of me importing her pup and soon enough I had my very own fluffy Dutch. Goofy, quick to respond, fearless, and incredibly sociable with dogs and people, this pup was destined to be a fan favorite of all who met him. My primary focus in this breed is to assist the American Dutch Shepherd Association in our breed gaining full AKC recognition.

Through my journey competing with these two rare breed/varieties, I grew to appreciate and admire the commitment and hard work other rare breed fanciers put into educating the community, conformation judges, and other breeders about their breeds. In my research of other rare herding dogs, I discovered the very elusive Bouvier des Ardennes. Perseverance paid off and La Cense du Balmelok in Belgium agreed to share their world with me. Humbled to be welcomed in such a devoted and steadfast community, I finally acquired my first Ardennes. They are handsome, hardy, intense social butterflies. My primary focus is fostering trust with our European family first and foremost as this breed has a very rich and delicate history. Their committed breeders love the Ardennes very deeply and its no wonder why it's so protected. As a representative of the US rare dog fancy community, I am committed to becoming part of the Bouvier des Ardennes history, preservation, learning from European judges and educating US judges, maintaining a high standard of health through testing and selective practices, and building a breeding program here in the US that evokes trust and support from our European counterparts.

Health Testing

All of our dogs will have a number of OFA certificated before breeding. Depending on breed club recommendation and breed-specific veterinary studies, some dogs may have more testing done than others in our strive to meet CHIC requirements. Additionally, all of our dogs will have DNA health test (Embark or Wisdom Panel) completed before breeding. All of our health tests results (good, bad, indifferent) are made public as we believe potential puppy buyers and breeding partners should never have to hunt or dig for pertinent information. We believe in rare preservation, its important that we understand what's in our lines and we want others to make informed decisions when buying from us or pairing their dogs with ours.

Titles

All of our dogs compete in either AKC or UKC sports, with the goal of holding multiple titles on both ends. They excel in Conformation, Rally, Fastcat, Trick dog, Canine Good Citizen, Farm Dog, Protection Sports, and more. We strive to title our dogs in both conformation and some sport before breeding.
