OFA Creates Breed Code for Bouvier Des Ardennes

We are proud to announce that in the spirit of health testing our Bouvier Des Ardennes, we requested for the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to create a breed code for us. Prior to now, the Bouvier des Ardennes did not appear in OFA's list of breeds or breed options when submitting health testing. It was as easy as an email. We simply emailed the OFA info desk and asked if they would recognize the BdA as such when they processed our incoming x-rays. They agreed and said because the BdA is a UKC/FCI recognized breed, they would create a new breed code. Turnaround was quick and just like that - you can search Bouvier Des Ardennes on the public database!

Next course of action is to form a breed club and submit recommended testing for the breed so we might maintain a standard for future breeding programs in the US.
